Though I've attempted a couple of remixes in the past for Moby and Depeche Mode songs, this is the first one interesting enough to post. Obviously I have a long way to go yet. bt is not my favorite DJ, but he is definitely up there. He has been really branching out lately, dabbling in hip hop and movie scores. Not my favorite genres, but more power to him if he can take his music to a new audience. I really respect his outreach to the music community. He has been a guest lecturer at Berklee and is one of the few producers to release some of his samples on CD. I wish others would follow in his footsteps. As to the mix itself, I am still grappling with matching it to the original genre of the piece. Obviously as a fan of Brian Transeau, I enjoy my fair share of progressive trance. It won't take long to notice that this doesn't quite fit in. I am not sure if I should try harder to tie that together or keep it as a bit more experimental. Comments would be welcome! Above all, please note this is a work in progress!
