England was a breath of fresh air and renewed my interest in travelling. I had been so put off by my bad experience in France, I was actually considering staying in the country for my next few trips. February may seem like an odd time to see the UK but when British Airways offers round-trip airfare and hotel rooms for under $400 total, it is hard to pass up. Sure it is a long flight for only four days, but it was the very kind of weekend getaway I hope to do more of in the future. Being able to travel is why I work. Of course there was much more to see even in London, nevermind the rest of the island, but I did get a good sense of things by just stopping by Shakespeare's Globe Theater, Hyde Park, and Piccadilly Circus.

If you are contemplating a vacation abroad, England is the perfect place to get started. The food is much better than you've heard.
